Cisco U. Wins Silver at Prestigious Awards
When Cisco U. was released for general availability last year, we quickly realized we had developed an experience that was built around the user.
But more than that, Cisco U. was a place where our community of learners and creators could come together while still exemplifying the depth of instruction that Cisco Learning and Certifications has been known for over the past 30 years.
That’s why I was so excited to learn that Cisco U. had won a Silver Award for Best Advance in Education through Technology at the recent Brandon Hall Group’s Technology Excellence Awards. The Excellence Awards recognize the best organizations that have successfully deployed programs, strategies, modalities, processes, systems, and tools that have achieved measurable results. The awards attract entrants from leading corporations around the world, as well as mid-market and smaller firms.
On International Day of Education, I want to recognize the people we have in Learning & Certifications who deliver a learning experience that captures the attention of our 1.6 million community members. The work they have done to create Cisco U. and constantly deliver outstanding content is the reason we can now call it an award-winning experience.
In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, a digital learning experience like Cisco U. is not just desirable; it’s essential. Upskilling and reskilling are critical to continuing one’s learning journey regardless of what career stage a learner is at.
Cisco U. addresses the constant need for upskilling, providing a continuous learning approach in a world of constant technological advancements. At a time when digital transformation is the key to staying relevant, businesses must equip their employees with the latest skills to remain an agile and competitive workforce.
According to Chief Revenue Officer at Skillsoft, Eric Stine, “Cisco U. provides an end-to-end solution learning experience that showcases rich learning content. Through our shared vision for transformative learning experiences, we have expanded our strategic partnership with Cisco to reskill, upskill, and help learners worldwide achieve their goals and help organizations adapt and grow.”
Cisco U. is constantly evolving to deliver the learning experiences needed to address the skills requirements of the future. Since we released to general availability eight months ago (wow, has it only been eight months?), we have introduced learning to prepare for our new multicloud and cybersecurity certifications and integrated all learning content from AppDynamics into a seamless experience. We are now helping our learning community leverage the power of AI.
I will be heading to Amsterdam soon to attend Cisco Live EMEA (Feb 5-9). This is a great opportunity to talk about the successes we have had with Cisco U. but also learn from our community about how we can improve and offer content that’s relevant to them. If you see me at Cisco Live, please come and say hello; it will be wonderful to catch up.
